H. Ward serves on the Highland Capital Brokerage Advisory
Committee.
In 1980 Mr. Ward founded Ward Financial Group in Avon,
Connecticut with affiliate offices in Springfield, Massachusetts
and Portland, Maine.
He is an original founder of the R.E. Lee Group and is
active in numerous insurance industry organizations.
Mr. Ward received his MBA in finance from De Paul
University and served as an officer in the US Army for three years
with service in Vietnam.
He received his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered
Financial Consultant degrees from The American College in Bryn
Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Jack
Warner

Jack
Warner serves as a principal of Highland Capital Brokerage.
Mr. Warner has been in the insurance industry in the San
Francisco area for over 35 years.
He began his career with The Equitable working in the
Administrative Division of the Company and then joined Aetna Life
and Casualty as a life specialist in the San Francisco area.
Prior to joining the R.E. Lee Group in 1976, Mr. Warner
assumed the responsibilities of the Life Department for the State
of California for Marsh & McLennan.
He was also a consultant for their various offices
throughout the United Sates in the fields of Deferred
Compensation, Business Insurance, and Estate Planning.
In 1995 Mr. Warner became President of R.E. Lee and oversaw
the operations of the offices in Washington, Oregon, California,
Arizona, and Hawaii.

Wittner

Ted
Wittner serves as the managing principal of the St. Petersburg
office of Highland Capital Brokerage and is the Chairman of
Wittner Companies.
Mr. Wittner’s experiences as a life insurance
professional range from being one of the founding directors of the
Insurance Exchange of the Americas
and the R.E. Lee Group, as well as serving as president for
several trade groups.
Mr. Wittner is a native of Tampa, and a graduate of the
University of Florida.

Gary L. Wright serves as managing principal for
the Chicago office. Gary began his insurance career as a Brokerage
Sales Representative with Great-West Life in 1981. He was a
Regional Sales Manager with UNUM from 1985-1989. From 1989-1992
Gary was the Regional Manager for GWL in Chicago where he was a
consistent Award of Excellence recipient and sat on the Managers’
Advisory Council. Gary conducted a brokerage sales study with
DePaul University in 1983 and co-authored an article on the
results in the CLU Journal. This study has impacted the way many
insurance companies conduct brokerage distribution today. Gary was
a founding member of AIN. He has been a 5-year National Management
Award recipient and a 3-year Master Agency Award holder. He is an
active member of the Strategic Coach program and has been a
featured speaker on several occasions working closely with Dan
Sullivan, the founder.
