Jay Livingston serves as the managing principal of the Charlotte office of Highland Capital Brokerage.  Mr. Livingston has been the principal of his Charlotte, North Carolina based firm since 1979.  Mr. Livingston began his career in 1968 with Metropolitan Life.  Mr. Livingston, along with two of their principals, also founded two other Highland Capital Brokerage offices, Atlanta and Knoxville.  He was one of the original founding partners of the R.E. Lee Group, and has enjoyed continued growth in advanced underwriting markets specializing in estate planning, business planning, and charitable giving.

Rodney K. Miller

Rodney Miller serves as the managing principal of the Knoxville office of Highland Capital Brokerage.  Mr. Miller entered the insurance business as an agent in 1976 and entered the life brokerage business in 1979.  He was a founding partner of The R.E. Lee Group based in Knoxville, Tennessee, which has won numerous production awards.  Mr. Miller has spoken at numerous Company and industry conventions and sales congresses and has been published in several state ALU publications.

John T. Mulheran serves as managing principal of the Indianapolis office of Highland Capital Brokerage. John has more than 25 years experience in the Life Insurance industry and his experience includes field and home office management positions. John’s primary duties within HCB-Heartland are to provide strategic guidance and management within the firm, and identify and develop strategic relationships with distribution channels emerging in the Life Insurance industry. In addition, he works in a support role with key affiliates and clients in the areas of Estate Planning, Executive Compensation, and Business Planning. As a member of the Highland Capital Brokerage Advisory Committee, John provides leadership and guidance to Highland Capital in the area of wholesale operations. He is an active member in numerous industry organizations including: National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP), The American College Endowment (ACE) as a founding member, The Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), and The Indianapolis Estate Planning Council. He attended The University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota, with a major in Business Administration. He is active in local community affairs, having served as sports commissioner for the 1987 Pan-American Games, and in various roles for the 1991 Men's PGA and 1993 USGA Women's Open. He is an active participant in his church, having served on the parish council and as chair and organizer for the annual fundraiser.
